My name is Mitch, and on behalf of my wife Nicole and our three daughters, thank you for visiting. We're incredibly excited about our Miniature Aussie breeding program that strives to bring you all of the very best this amazing breed has to offer. We fell in love, and we know you will too!
Chiron Aussies has a marked focus on traditional family, child-friendly, and show ranch style Aussies. Our approach starts where it shouldâwith great breeding, temperament, and willingness to learn.
We marry these world-class abilities with elegant conformation to curate a look that's both sophisticated and relaxed. Rooted in proven, champion-caliber bloodlines and beauty inspired by the cultural heritage of the Australian Shepherd.
Our Philosophy
This is a programâ
not a kennel.
We don't chase trends or volume. Every pairing is researched, every bloodline is vetted, and every decision is made with the breed's future in mind. We invest the time to develop Miniature Australian Shepherds the way they were meant to be.
Temperament First
Family-safe, stable, trainable. A great dog starts with a great mind. We select for clear, confident temperaments that thrive in both active lifestyles and family settings.
Health & Longevity
Comprehensive genetic testing on every parent. We prioritize longevity and transparencyâbecause trust is built on what you can prove, not what you promise.
Structure & Breed Integrity
Not just beautiful dogsâfunctional, correct conformation. Dogs capable of both performance and presence. We breed for the standard, not the trend.
Intelligence & Trainability
Working ability, athleticism, and coachable minds. Our dogs are developed to think, respond, and partner with their people at the highest level.
Why âChironâ
Named for the wisest
of all centaurs.
In Greek mythology, Chiron was the great teacherâknown not for brute strength, but for wisdom, patience, and the ability to develop greatness in others.
That's exactly what this program is about. We don't produce puppiesâwe develop dogs. Every decision, every pairing, every bloodline is chosen with intention. Because the breed deserves better than âgood enough.â
Curated Bloodlines
We research pedigrees worldwideânot just locally. Our parent dogs represent the best the breed has to offer.
Proven Pairings
Every litter is the result of deliberate planning. Health, temperament, structure, and intelligence must all align.
Lifetime Partnership
Our commitment doesn't end at pickup. We support our families through every stage of their dog's life.
Transparency as Standard
Full health testing results. Honest assessments. No hidden surprises. We believe trust is earned through openness.
The Chiron Standard
What every Chiron Aussie
is developed to be.
Balance over extremes. Purpose over aesthetics alone. Every dog we produce must meet a standard that goes far beyond appearance.
A mind you can trust
Stable, confident temperament. No nervousness, no reactivity. Dogs that are safe with families, responsive to training, and calm under pressure.
A body built to last
Correct structure means fewer injuries, better movement, and a longer, healthier life. We breed for functionânot exaggeration.
Health you can verify
Every parent is genetically tested. Results are shared openly. We believe in full transparency because your trust matters more than a sale.
Intelligence that serves
Athletic, trainable, and eager to work with their people. Whether it's agility, ranch work, or family lifeâa Chiron Aussie rises to the occasion.
Beauty with substance
Yes, our dogs are striking. But beauty is the result of correct breedingânot the goal. When you breed right, beauty follows naturally.
